Our Milestones

2000

  •  STPE was renamed Singapore Precision Industries 2000 (SPI2000) and became the parent company of SAM, AMT and DMT. SPI2000's vision was to become a global precision engineering and technology group.

  • SAM set up a joint venture company with Messier-Dowty International to design, manufacture and test small and medium sized aircraft landing gears. SAM subsequently divested its stake of the joint venture to Messier-Dowty.

 

2001

  • SAM acquired SITEC Aerospace (SITEC), an actuator OEM headquartered in Waakkirchen, Germany from GKN Westland of UK. With this acquisition, SAM established its first presence in Europe and acquired design capabilities for aerospace components.

 

2003

  • AMT moved into its new headquarters in Tuas, Singapore.

2004

  • SAM set up a manufacturing facility  (12,222 sq m) in Suzhou, China and began full operations.

2005

  •  SPI2000 was renamed Accuron Technologies Limited.

  • DMT celebrated its 25th Anniversary of the first shockwave lithotripsy treatment.

2008

  •  AMT's manufacturing facilities in Dongguan, China became fully operational.

  • SAM acquired LKT Industries Berhad, a precision engineering company based in Penang, Malaysia. Through this acquisition, SAM expanded its manufacturing footprint into Malaysia and gained new capabilities in contract manufacturing of complex equipment. LKT was subsequently renamed SAM Engineering and Equipment (M) Berhard.

  • SAM invested in a new facility in Germany for its subsidiary, SITEC Aerospace.
