Advanced
Materials Technologies
(AMT) was
incorporated in 1990 and is the material business arm of Accuron Technologies. AMT has positioned itself as
a specialized contract manufacturer of high volume and high precision
engineering components found in applications used in the electronics,
medical, automotive, industrial, and energy sectors.
With its proprietary Powder Injection
Moulding technology, AMT has since grown from metal injection moulding
of ferrous metals to include the processing of other materials such as
copper, alumina, zirconia, spinel, tungsten copper and ceramics. AMT engages
in the design, development, manufacturing and supply of injection
moulded components. Its core competencies and manufacturing

Powder
Injection Moulding Metal / ceramic
powder is mixed with polymer binder to form
the feedstock. The feedstock is then moulded to form the desired
geometry known as green part. The polymer binder is removed from the
green part by a debinding process to form the
brown part. During sintering, the brown part shrinks and densifies into a net-shape solid component.
Metal
Injection Moulding (MIM) components
The applications in which the MIM components can be found include
mobile hydraulics, optoelectronics connectors, valve systems and
medical devices.
Ceramic
Injection Moulding (CIM) components
The materials used in CIM are mainly alumina, zirconia
and spinel. The applications in which the CIM
components can be found include fuel cell systems and medical devices.
Precision
Machining
With a spectrum of CNC machines, 10-axis turn mill machines and
grinding machines, AMT specializes in processing various materials
which include stainless steels, carbon steels, low alloy steels, low
expansion alloys and soft magnetic alloys.
AMT’s precision machining facilities were re-located
to Dongguan, China and is fully
operational since December 2008.
